What's your passion? Let the readers hear from you

Question_mark_block I love this definition of passion, "intense, driving, or overmastering feeling or conviction " What's your passion.  What things do you care deeply about.  What raises your interests and concerns?  I am passionate about keeping my family balanced and healthy.  I am learning to do better at this, as I over extend myself many times.  I am passionate about Wendy, my amazing wife of 21 years. I am passionate about being a great dad, passionate about the Kingdom of God, the health of BCC, the strengthening of the fellowship of which I am a part, the Assemblies of God, Michigan District.  I am passionate about friends, and loyalty, integrity, and holiness.  I am passionate about seeing God use people, seeing young people enter in full-time ministry, seeing Jesus in our BCC body.  I am passionate about worship.  I also have hobbies.  I have a passion for racquetball, staying in shape and wood carving (a new hobby/passion).  God has given us passion and convictions for His Kingdom.  What is one of your passions?  Chime in on the comments.

I am passionate about my relationship with Jesus, about our friendship, and paying attention to His voice when He speaks, and my obedience to Him, and His word and relying on His strength. I am passionate about resting in Gods promises, and who he says I am. Passionate about praising Him for who He is, worshipping the Lord for all he ahs done.all He has freed us from, for the love He shows, I can't sing long enough or loud enough to ever praise him enough. I'm passionate about my husband, passionate about being the kind of wife God has called me to be, treating my husband with respect and submitting to his leadership of our family, even if I don't always agree. Passionate about our children, being a mother who shows unconditional love, guidance, and Godly direction. Passionate about prayer and my continually growing need for that connection for daily functioning as well as prayer for the needs of the church. Passionate about continually growing closer to the heart of Jesus, knowing what pleases His heart Passionate about seeing our un-saved grown children coming to know and live in the salvation Jesus has given us. Passionate about my grandchildren seeing and coming to know the Lord. Passionate about being faithful to the Lord s call in my life to homeschool Libby, and giving it my best to follow His lead. Passionate about friendships, to love unconditionally, to be encouraging and uplifting, holding each other to Godly accoutability without judgment or condemnation. Passionate about ministry, being faithful to see through to the completion all the Lord brings me to, passionate about lives being changed and deeply loving and caring for all those who's hearts God calls me to minister to. I have a driving passion for our young girls to be conformed to the heart of Jesus, I have a passion to help them see the lies of the enemy through the truth in Gods word.
I have passion to live my life according to who God says I am and not according to the labels of the world based on social, economic, medical or racial statis.
Pastor Nate thanks for the challenge to do some "passion" inventory. Great post!

I'm going to make this really simple, and these passions of mine are in no particular order:
1. strength and well-being of my family
2. my calling from God & its manifestation in obedience
3. seeing God's Kingdom advanced
4. expressing a love of God & His gifts through creative means

good post, Pastor Nate! this was fun to think about & comment on.

One of my passions is living and being and partnering with God to become a vital part the body of CHrist that experiences amd lives the salvation He paid for us to experience. You mentioned this passion recently in the pulpit...you mentioned that you felt the Lord had shared with you the season BCC is in regarding growth...that God's goal is not numbers (the divine paradox)but it's growing whole, healed, sound believers that are already here who can go out and be fishers of men that won't lose half (or more) of the catch through unmended nets. I believe our souls and our character are analagous to fishing nets with holes in them. WE need to be mended. We need to be healed and delivered from ourselves and from Satan's influence in our lives. From wounded pasts and present afflictions. From future tragedies that will result if we don't move into the place God has called us to in Him. I'm passionate about a body that will encourage one another in love (sometimes this doesn't always come with chills but instead in the form of a wound, a correction, a faithful rebuke--Prov.27:6) I'm passionate about God's vision for the body. One that is truthful, honest, and transparent. One that will know the truth about themselves, the One who can set them free, and who will recieve it. I'm passionate about a body that will love one another by faith while we journey to this point; agreeing right now that we are this people but dwelling with each other with the understanding and humility it takes to allow the Lord to form us into this people.

great thoughts, if we are not passionate then we can become passive. (lacking drive, lacking initiative) The Kingdom is not advanced by passive people, never has been. It is advance by people who live with the passion of being in His presence.
