Week Rewarding Rewind

Smile This how I feel about the week at BCC. We had an amazing week.  Many things are happening as the Lord continues to touch lives and call people closer.   Here is a little rundown.  Personal-After some health issues I played racquetball today. It felt good to sweat (an win!).  Thank the Lord!  Wednesday-Church planter Ed Watts shared about their new plant in Flint.  I love church planters! Board Meeting-I love this leadership team and am thankful for their insight, wisdom, and friendship.  Alpha-Over 100 were at the Alpha ministry Thursday.  Thanks to great leaders, Tom and Darlene Hughes!  We are in our 3rd year of Alpha and the fruit keeps coming.  Men's Advance,  Lafayette Scales did not disappoint us at our Advance. He challenged the men to be worshipers, warriors, and winners. Jimmy Stanton and the team led us to the throne. Spiritual victories were one, men prayed for men, iron has sharpened iron and we were strengthened and refreshed. My brother Steve and his daughter's husband Aaron came as an added blessing to me.  Sunday-Well, the men rushed to the front to worship as we were challenged!  We had our last Sunday of "Made To Count" and Tom, Rick, and I tag-team preached.  The commissioning at the end was amazing as people wore what they wear to work, committing to allowing Christ to use them at work.  We also prayed for Mario and Irene Jimenez as they are helping Washington A/G restart with Bob Wright.  Mario sang and knocked it out of the park!  It was incredible and anointed!  I rested on Sunday with Wendy.  What a blessing to be a member of the KingLafdom of God!Scales

Wild Weekend Rewind

RewindImg220  Thursday we went to the Great Pregnancy Banquet of Toledo. It was incredible.  Friday was busy getting finals things for Sunday, setting up for the trade fair.  Saturday Wendy stayed at the church for an amazing Ladies breakfast with Joy Barrow. Over 75 ladies came!  We jetted up to Flatrock for our JBQ meet. Our kids did awesome The Elarton boys came in 9th and 8th in their division.  Our 5 teams all did awesome.  We drove back home in the snow to go to the trade fair for the afternoon.  I love the trade fair.  Over 10,000 people come to it.  We passed out thousands of invitations and talked to hundreds of people.  Sunday was an awesome morning at BCC, then back to the trade fair.

Here are some pics of the weekend and of Dwell the weekend before.....

Weekend Rewind

Hamstring_2 Img_6653 Friday night started out with the everfree EMU  lock-in.  Pastor Tom took about 100 youth from BCC.  Kurt Cullison had this event for the first time back in 1994 when I was a youth pastor in Northville.  EMU continues.  Our EMC did some human videos, Chilly Chilton preached and there was over 100 kids seeing the Lord during the altar.  I made it to EMU around midnight with Jon Joerin and we stayed till about 3:30 am.  Sunday was our 5th week of Made To Count.  I am excited as hundreds of people are seeking God for their life.

Today, went and play racquetball at the JCC.  I was running forward for a shot in the right corner, heard a pop, pain in my hamstring. I went down, got sick, limped off.  I was very embarrassed.  Needless to say I must have really stretched my hamstring.  I have been on the sofa with ice since 2:30. No relief.  the maddening thing is I know I will be out of racquetball for the next few weeks.  Pray I heal fast!  Tomorrow is men's prayer at 6:45 AM.  I will miss it as I am going with Tom to YES FM, he is going to be doing the morning munch and we also host the ministerial association lunch.  I have prep for Wednesdays, 2 appointments, and some scheduling to do.  It will be a full day.  God is good.  I praise His name.
