Revival, and Thursday Thoughts

I played racquetball early this morning.  I have spent some time with Jesus, and will finish prepping for this afternoon.  I will be speaking at Milan prison.  I have an appointment to look at a used car, then back here to get a lot done for Sunday.  Gabe has a concert tonight and that will be fun.  We had a great time yesterday.  I went with his class to Greenfield Village.  Drew went too. We had a great time.

Congrats To Nichole Eddinger!

I just heard that Nicole Eddinger will be awarded the "Outstanding Senior Artist" at Bedford High School!  Awesome.  Congrats Nichole. She has honored Christ and been a solid witness in her art.  To get this award at one of the largest schools in the state is truly an honor.  We are very proud of her.  I will try to get some pics of her art and post them here!  Let her know we are proud of her.

Todd Bentley and the Revival in Lakeland

I have been asked about my opinion of the revival in Lakeland.  I want to say I am always thankful when people get excited about God.  I will honestly say I am very uncomfortable with the teachings of Todd Bentley.  I walked out of his teaching and preaching in Toronto when he started saying he was tired because his spirit was traveling all over the world healing people  I I am pretty sure the Word says that Jesus is the healer. I left the service.  I am also skeptical all of his encounters with angels, a spiritual encounter with the apostle Paul and also a visitation he had with an angel "emma". I am sorry but this does not line up with Scripture.  I do know that people can have an encounter with an angel, but it is a regular occurrence with Todd Bentley.  The thing with Paul is just..well.. out there.  Remember the Bible is our authority, not experience.   I am not on the same page with his teaching of "impartation" at all.  But, God is still touching people in spite of his error in teaching the Word of God, and my opinion.  I honestly do not believe he is a prophet at all.  A modern prophet would stay true to the word of God.  A crowd gathering does not validate that a man is a true prophet.  Paul Cain was also on the platform of this revival and has been involved in alcoholism and homosexuality.  Someone in charge there is not using a lot of wisdom.  I would not encourage anyone under my spiritual care to sit under Todd Bentley's ministry.
